Privacy Policy

Wanne is operated by Swapp LLC, a company registered in Ukraine (registration number 93430916) ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the data described below. Wanne is an AI wine assistant for adults of legal drinking age. You tell Wanne what you're looking for and photograph a store shelf, and the app returns wine recommendations with plain-language reasoning. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Wanne does not sell alcohol and contains no purchase links.

Information we collect

• Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier. We do not receive your Apple password, and we only receive your name or email if you choose to share them.
• Shelf photos and requests. The photos you take of wine shelves, and the voice or text request you provide, are sent to our processing pipeline to identify bottles and generate recommendations. Voice is transcribed to text on your device where iOS provides an on-device model for your language; otherwise Apple's speech service performs the transcription. We never receive or store the audio.
• Taste profile. Preferences you set (and feedback you give on recommendations) so results improve over time.
• Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, provided through Apple and our subscription manager. We never receive your full payment card details.
• Usage data. In-app events (for example, a scan started or a recommendation shown) to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
• Age confirmation. The date of birth you enter at the age gate is used to confirm you meet the legal drinking age for your App Store region.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your precise or coarse location (region and language come from your App Store account, not GPS).
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
• We do not upload raw audio, and we do not access your contacts, health, financial, or browsing data.

How your information is used

• To recognize bottles in your photos and generate wine recommendations.
• To operate your account, subscription, and free-scan limits.
• To personalize recommendations to your taste profile.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Service providers

We share the minimum data needed with providers that operate Wanne on our behalf. They may only process data to provide their service to us:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple and subscription billing.
• Cloudflare — application hosting and storage of submitted photos.
• AI processing provider(s) — your shelf photos and request text are sent to a third-party AI model provider to extract bottles and rank recommendations.
• Wine data provider — anonymous wine label lookups to enrich recommendations (no account data is shared).
• Subscription management — to validate and mirror your subscription entitlement.
• Product analytics and crash reporting — a small set of named events (for example: a scan finished, a paywall was shown) and crash reports, each tied to your account identifier so we can tell whether the app works. No screen recording, no automatic capture of what you tap, and nothing used to track you across other companies' apps.

Data retention

We retain your account data and submitted photos while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your stored photos and account records and revoke your session, as described below.

One record is kept after deletion, to prevent abuse of the free tier: a one-way cryptographic hash of your Sign in with Apple identifier together with a count of the free scans already used. It contains no email address, no photos, no scan history and no identifier that can be reversed or linked back to you, and it is used for no purpose other than applying the free allowance correctly if the same Apple ID signs up again.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account. In the app, open Profile and choose to delete your account. This permanently deletes your server-side data (photos and account records) and revokes your access token, apart from the anti-abuse record described under Data retention. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — manage that in your App Store account settings.

Children

Wanne is intended only for adults of legal drinking age in their region and is not directed to children. We enforce an in-app age gate and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the legal drinking age.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
